It's another snowy morning folks. It is pretty, cold for us at 18. Anyway, I saw a small herd of about 6 deer this morning. Their dark fur was quite noticeable atop the glistening white snow. They were just at the fringes of my yard and strolled one at a time as in an animal parade. Have you seen wildlife in your area as of late?

Oh yes several deer and a stray dog and some racoons and some squirrels and birds and chipmunks. I live in the Suburbs

Oddly, I never see chipmunks here. Squirrels seem to have a monopoly.

Surprised you didn't see them where you used to live. The squirrel just bounced off the outside screen trying to get in here. Nico says he is not about to permit that. He is watching squirrels every move.

@snowy22315 - we did not see them from our home, but we saw deer all the time during our walks. Nico must get crazy watching those squirrels.

I think they are nice, quiet and gentle unless provoked.

They pop up here almost as much as the squirrels. However, sometimes you can go a week or two without a sighting There are a lot of them here, but alot of woods to hide in too.

I rarely put out food for animals unless it is birdseed the squirrels usually eat.

@snowy22315 I don't either. My neighbor loves the deer and is concerned they won't have food in winter. It also keeps them coming over to this side of the complex, something they rarely did before.

They are prevalent here. You don't always see them, but they are always around.
