Getting on a bit later than planned, but still within my pre-set working hours. George and I went out this morning to run an errond, that turned into a drive along the beachside. He was feeling a lot better today and even felt like taking some of my fries and I was so proud of him for that. I will never get that time back, which is why I cherish every moment of it. George is special to me. I think it was a nice way to start our day. He didn't even sit on the porch this morning. I guess I'm glad I got up a little before ten and had something to eat, because I knew when I got that text message this morning, we'd be going out. We even stopped at family dollar, and George decided he could walk and push a shopping cart, so he did. He started to pull the walker out of the van, but decided he could walk the short distance from the carts to the van. I just helped him step up after he helped me find the place to step up.

When we went to the Va, he didn't feel like getting out of the van. I was concerned he wasn't feeling well, again. However, we were gone for over two hours and did a lot of just crusing around the city. Then when we went to family dollar, he actually got out of the van. I thought he was going to use the walker, but he actually used my hand, instead to reach the carts. Because he had my hand, I felt him step up to the curb, which gave my cue.
