What was the first big purchase you made as an adult?

That's a tricky question for me because I never really had a childhood. I was taking care of myself, working 2 jobs during high school, and making car and insurance payments at 16 years old.
So at 16 I bought my first car. It was a 1974 Audi Fox in 1981. I think it might have been $1500 and I had $50/month car payments.
My second big purchase as an adult was at age 21 when I bought my first house along with my husband who was 23.

Shortly after getting married, my husband and I bought a new Ford Truck. It was both of ours first big purchase.

I bought a Plymouth Valiant in 1969. I had moved away from home and needed some transportation to buy groceries, etc.

I started working at 13 and helping mom pay for groceries and bills. I bought my first car at 17 and my first house at 23. Some people start earlier than others.

I never had the chance to buy anything as a big purchase,
cause I never got the chance to get a job to have my own $
Glad that most people got that chance in their lives.
