An Uphill Task

I watch her waking up in the morning at around 4:00. For one who used to be a night owl burning the midnight lamp for her exams and taking care of mother prior to that for more than 5 years, this is an uphill task. She's recently got a job. It has been an answer to her ardent prayers and she has taken it humbly. For every observation, every experience , she has 'The Man in the Mirror' song to boost her tiring nerves. Waking up she makes breakfast after I have served her tea, lunch, keep the clothes for washing, wash soaked clothes while having a bath, have her breakfast that early and then off to work. I'd been literally praying to God to bring a discipline in her life at a time when I saw going sleepless, having bath at wrong hours, not having food on time and torturing herself to appease the guilt she still nourishes for having lost mother. I see her doing everything without complaint with occasional outbursts at times when I reach out to assist her with her work..It's as if, she has been ordained by God to complete all her tasks before she leaves. Instead of her, I heave a sigh....of relief. This uphill task is a boon, for one whose engagement in the society is so very important not only for her but also for people around.

If she is satisfied with her work she will be happy though it has broken her discipline.

Hahaha...that's a nice take 'though it has broken her discipline'....she was never disciplined till now.

@mytunemagic Sometimes the lifestyle of a person is responsible for an indisciplined life.

@aninditasen Loss of someone very dear to heart can take an excessive toll on mind and body. She was working on a deliberate self imposed indiscipline to do away with all the drama in the world. Her disposition was like that of someone who has nothing left to live. Now with this engagement, I find her taking things, seriously and falling into a routine discipline. Sometimes, such lifestyles are created to lead one to undisciplined living.
