Nature creates sadness everywhere everyday!

This evening as I went to let in my few birds, I discovered a small bird helpless after falling from a nest possibly in one of my trees. The bird was still too young to fly but produced loud noise - possibly crying for help. The parents in response flew from tree to tree responding in alerting sharp sounds. Unfortunately, a stray cat rushed and seized the poor thing, strangled it and made away with it! The parents continued with their cry for a short while before retreating into the thick branches. I was left wondering, how nature can choose to be so cruel. I pitied the gone little bird and pitied the parents as well, but I am undecided about begrudging the stray cat.

Nature at times is harsh to birds and animals. Stray dogs give birth to puppies and many die on the streets which is very disheartening.

@SIDIKIMPOLE Seeing animals and birds suffering I feel myself lucky to be born as a human being.

@aninditasen That is true. We humans are at least advanced.

That is very true. We as humans are lucky to be able to make life on our own. Most animals really suffer.

That is sad. But, that's what cats do.
