Is ChatGPT a type of new wikipedia?

Nobody is cross questioning their sources, their facts, their claims. But blindly believe on the chatgpt data being trained. This is turning out to be same like Wikipedia. Do you also think this is going the same way?

No, ChatGPT isn't as accurate as Wikipedia and nobody that has a brain that works trusts it like that. By ChatGPT's own admission, it can't be trusted...ChatGPT will tell you that it can "hallucinate" false info, lacks clear sourcing, and is a predictive tool, whereas Wikipedia relies on human editors and verifiable sources for its community-driven, constantly updated content, though both require critical fact-checking by users. I have never used ChatGPT and am not planning to start using it for anything.

Only reason I would use is in spreadsheet for work. Gemini with spreadsheet is handy.

@clairvoyant As long as you don't care if the information is correct, by all means, use it.

I definitely don’t think it’s better than Wikipedia. I have definitely never used ChatGPT, and I hope I never do. It’s just not all that reliable in reality.
