For a standard 200 ml tea mug, 2 tea spoonfuls of sugar work well for me

Just like salt, sugar is another additive not taken lightly by most health-conscious individuals here in Kenya. There are some who totally do not add sugar to their tea, and there are those who can add up to 4 tea spoonfuls of sugar to a standard mug of tea. There are also the moderate who use 1-3 tea spoonfuls of sugar in a standard 200ml tea mug. As for me, 2 tea spoonfuls of sugar work for me well in a standard mug of tea or coffee. How many tea spoonfuls of sugar are you comfortable with in a standard tea mug?

It depends on the tea flavor. Some teas I don't put any sugar in and orthers no more than half a teaspoon, enough to take the bitterness away.

I have 1 teaspoonful in my coffee. Most people here don't take sugar at all.

I don’t really drink any, but I would never be comfortable adding more than a little bit. Sugar is just so bad for us.
