Logan's Restaurant Had Bacon on a Stick

We ate at Logan's Restaurant (it's a steakhouse) yesterday because we were nearby and hadn't been there in several months. They had a new appetizer on the menu and often I just eat appetizers because I can't eat a full-sized meal. It was "Bacon on a Stick" advertised as thick cut bacon with seasoning on it. Well the photo shows you what it looked like. Neither the taste nor the texture were that of bacon. It reminded me more of Spam. So hubby and I switched meals and I got the mini-burgers and he ate the bacon, which he said he actually liked.

I love bacon, but I gotta say...this is a dumb way to serve it. It just wastes sticks. What does one even need them for? Maybe to keep their hands from getting greasy? Still... lol

It wasn't worthy of being called "bacon." I like crispy bacon. I had it twice yesterday when I got home and once already this morning for breakfast.

@LooeyVille Crispy, to me, is the only way to eat it. I like mine almost burnt, actually.

Wait…y’all still have a Logan’s in the east end? Our Logan’s closed and was torn down and is now home to a soon-to-open Wawa’s. That doesn’t look like bacon, nor does it look appetizing.

@LooeyVille — Buc-ee’s, yes. The Wawa hasn’t opened yet. There’s one across the street from the Chuy’s on Veterans Parkway in Clarksville, but I haven’t been in there because Veterans Parkways is painful enough to navigate without trying to turn left.

It definitely was not appetizing to me @FourWalls Yes it's off Blankenbaker Parkway on Alliant Avenue near the Sam's Club. I've never been to a WaWa or a Buccees. Are they worth the hype?

Now that’s a new one to me. I remember my mom wrapping up green beans in bacon, and putting them on a toothpick, but never just bacon.

Doubt I would go for that, but I do like candied bacon. I had some really great sliders last week. The rest of the meal nothing to write home about, but the sliders were awesome.Iwould go there just for those.

Every night, we have food vendors selling finger foofs along the streets of our public plaza. And they have fpods sold on a stick and we call it barbecue. And several styles of food come out. Csmote on stick, camotecue, tocino on stick, am9ng others.
