How did you know when you fell in love?

Ah, love.
My now-husband and I met at a bridal shower in 1986. I saw him and immediately wanted to get to know him. Was that love or lust?
We went on our first date and it wasn't that good. He had sent me a dozen long-stemmed red roses on the morning of our first date and given me a pair of small diamond earrings at the end of our first date. Who does that? I thought it was hokey.
Our second and third dates weren't much better. We went to a party where I didn't know anybody and he stayed with the guys and left me alone with strange women. I actually left the party and started walking home when he found me about a block and a half away.
But right after that I started to feel a connection with him and love him. It was more than just his good looks. He was smart, funny, strong, and protective. There was just a moment that said, "He's the one." I can't really pinpoint it.
Now, nearly 40 years later, I still love him and the love gets deeper every single day. I love this man.

I thought your answer was going to be, "When she told me so."

I saw him for the 2nd or 3rd time at his house. I was friends with his sister. He had just come home from the service; and I said to myself...I want this man. I actually asked him out the first time. 59 years later I love him more than anything in the universe even though he's gone.

You gotta love a man in uniform. That's how I met my husband. He was in his police officer's uniform.

I may have only done that once..and sadly we were torn apart through circumstances.

If love is blind, it means that no matter how good or bad she is, he will definitely accept her wholeheartedly until the end of his life, and the most important thing is that both of them must be honest with each other and understand each other. Is what I said true or not?
