New year , new me, thats what many people say but they compromise few months into the the new year. Do you plan to get a new job this year or you want to live healthier? Lots of many new year resolutions but people will always compromise and get carried away. Do you believe in New year resolutions?

No, I don't do New Year resolutions. The vast majority of people don't even keep their resolutions for a week, anyway. I hope I can start drawing disability this year but may have to settle for Social Security instead.

That's true, most people get excited and carried away about the new year.

@ogbenishyna44 It's the same stuff, different day, just like the rest of life.

The phrase “New Year, New me” sounds inspiring. But you’re right that many people lose momentum after a few months and sometimes within days. Resolutions often start with excitement but fade when routines and pressures return. Some people aim for a new job, others focus on healthier living, and many try to do everything at once. That can make goals feel overwhelming rather than motivating. Atleast I have experienced them. I think the problem isn’t the resolution itself, but how rigid or unrealistic it is. Life has a way of pulling people back into old habits. Small, steady changes usually work better than dramatic promises. Consistency matters more than perfect discipline. I do believe in using the new year as a mental reset. It’s a good time to reflect on what worked and what didn’t. Instead of resolutions, intentions and flexible goals feel more sustainable. Progress, even slow progress, is better than giving up entirely. I would follow that approach and see how it works for me this year. Take care!

I agree with you 100%. Most of those resolutions are unrealistic.
