Well, it looks like Iran will fall this time or, at least, serious concessions made for more freedoms. The Mullahs have used Islam to control these people for far too long. Muslim countries tend to have a young population and the are restless, Facebook, not face covering, their goals now. I'm sure Trump and Netty have nudged this uprising along somehow and fair enough, and Israel attacks on Iran and their proxy terror groups across the region another reason for this uprising. I hope Trump doesn't do what Bush senior did in Iraq and give the tyrannical leadership enough power to keep control but seems unlikely this time.
Iran have a power coupling with Venezuela, of course, and china buy a lot of Venezuelan oil so this is a big powerplay to start the New Year by Trump. Russia have a strong influence in Iran and so Trump is actually doing some good now. All those young Muslims in Iran look at the new Iraq and Emirate riches and western lifestyle and are thinking, I want some of that. Statewide commerce and wealth quickly erodes the need for religion. We have seen that with Christianity in Europe, barely relevant now.
So on Iran, well done Trump and Israel for destabilizing it. Venezuela is about the usual control for world oil supplies and all superpowers do it, be it rather blatant by Trump this time, Seeing those growling oil execs in the WHite House yesterday telling Trump how great he was reminded me of Putin and oligarchs in the Kremlin. The two are very similar cats. The ARMCO guy seem to suggest it would cost a blinking fortune to restore Venezuela's oil industry to profit but Trump soon cut him off.

I do not think regime change in Iran is so easy.
Iran is much bigger and hostile than Iraq.
Not sure how much Oil exploration US would get in Venezuela but they would get at least some benefit.
In the end, the worst sufferers are the common citizens.
