I never met mine and sometimes its a good thing you never met yours.I liked this and liked the bands reaction. You can tell they were not for it, but that is why he is leader of the band. I would have personally been proud that my dad did that for me. Many of those guys probably like me, never met our dad and maybe that is a good thing but its really bad when there is no dad. Its hard to survive the world when you were not taught properly how to do it.

Some single parent children l know ( those with absentee fathers) have turned out exceptionally well.

@crossbones27 l think the ideal situation is both parents being there. What makes that situation not ideal is when both parents fight all the time and the child is traumatised. Sometimes an absentee father saves the situation.
