Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
It's almost halfway through the first month of 2026 already! That's crazy how fast time goes. Few more months and it'll be Spring...and then a couple more and it'll be summer...then it'll be summer break and all of that. Not wishing time away too fast, but I can't wait for the cold weather to be gone.
Anyways - not much to share about the weekend. Went shopping, had lunch out with my mom. Eli got to play a lot with his VR games. His grandma got him a meta quest....but he has to pay her back, some of it with money and some by doing chores at her house. It is trippy using VR.
Now today Eli is back in school for another week... I hope he starts changing for PE, cause if he doesn't he will fail that class. Not sure how he is doing in the other classes yet.
As for me? Tomorrow I will go get my progesterone tested to see if there is a chance I could have conceived this cycle. If it is above a 5, I will hold hope to see a positive around weekend time. If not, guessing the doc will up the dose of the meds again. Not sure what'll happen if I get to the highest dose and it doesn't work...but hopefully this month was a success. I'd love to start sharing about that journey.
Anyways, that's my rant for the day I guess.
Photo is mine - art I made this past spring/Easter time. Shared in hopes of spring arriving soon. What do you think of the design?
Edit: I checked again and finally saw some grade updates - he has an F in math and English for not turning in assignments. Think it's time for tech to go away - I think he is spending time playing games in class not working.

Yeah, I agree. I would set some ground rules and stick to them. No video games, tec etc until he does his homework and brings up his grades. Or set a firm rule, that he needs to come home and do his homework. Make him do it in a place where you can check on him, and make sure he's doing it.
I am glad you haven't given up on trying to get pregnant.

@MommyOfEli2013 Can you request a parent-teacher conferance with the teacher(s) of those subjects? Maybe they can give him some take home work to bring up his adverage, or help you figure out how to help him?

Well the trouble is, they don't have homework. This is all work to be done in class. So I don't really know how to help him.
It'll be 2 years of trying soon...so it's hard to feel positive that it will happen, but I always wanted more kids. Just wish I hadn't waited so long to try again.

@kaylachan those aren't until March...so I really don't know. Some give info where we can reach them...but I don't know all the teacher's info. I expected the struggle in English, and even PE this semester but not math.

It is just that he doesn't get things done in time/turned in on time... but he is smart enough to pass everything with As.
Hoping for a 10 or higher, last month was only a 7 which was positive but not good enough for the doctor.
Glad you like the art

@just4him I got a 22, so much better. But I don't know that it is going to give me the rest of the good news this month.

I just know he is not going to want to fail the 6th grade. I don't think they do fail, they just would have to retake the class as a 7th grader.
Waiting on the results, may not be till tomorrow though

Oh he would go coo-coo bananas. I doubt it would change a thing honestly...He'd just go pout, but not change his ways.
Thanks, I hope this is finally our month. Hoping tomorrows test gives us hope at least
