Why are some people raising money for the ICE agent who shot a woman dead?

GoFundMe funds raised for ICE agent who shot Renee dead has surpassed half a million and one wonders why some people are happy and supporting such criminal acts to the point of raising money for him. Hopefully, Renee will get justice for the crime perpetrated against the state against her.

If he is charged with a crime that fund will cease to exist because GoFundMe does not allow fundraisers for people charged with crimes. People are trying to help cover the legal fees are he is incurring. Why are people doing that? Stupidity.
My guess is GoFundMe will find a way to get that fundraiser eliminated even if he is not charged with a crime. They are currently examining their terms of service trying desperately to rid themselves of this controversy.

Really weird, I believe the site should have stopped such supporters from raising funds for a criminal.
