About 45 minutes to an hour ago, I went upstairs to my neighbor's, and he put my new SIM card in. He had a little bit of trouble--I forget with what. He also said (as he is a tech person and I am not) that I didn't need one of the apps on my phone, so he deleted it for me.
Now it makes calls, and I can text.
I had several (though not as many as I thought I'd have) messages in my voice mail...

Just got off the phone with my brother, and then I got a message that said something about an end-to-end encrypted message from the father in law of the guy with the dog.
I hope that he messages me the regular way or calls me if he needs something.
Ack! So anyway, my phone works! Now it's 6:39 and I need to find something for dinner.
I hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

Having your phone fixed is certainly a good thing. Glad your neighbor was able to help
