We're looking into a brand new chapter this year.
One that includes children.
You also read right, we're looking into it this year. Unless it comes natural, it will be next year until we can actually become parents.
We're researching fostering and adoption. As for natural, well I will be getting ovulation tests and I'm looking into a new doctor. One that will help me and actually listen to me.
Steps are being taken on all fronts and I'm excited. I also don't want to enter into anything unprepared hence research.
I think even my mom is on board now. She was so dead set against it for some unknown reason and now she's ok with whatever i choose.
Weird but I'll take it.

Good luck to you. I don't know if your mom might be thinking like me but here is a thought. I just can't believe people want to bring a kid into this screwed up world. I can understand why people want to have a family as we as humans are programed to want to have offspring. It's just a crazy world and can't imagine myself bring kids into it in this day and age.
I wish you all the luck and hope things work out well for you and yours. I like that you all are open to fostering/adoption, there are many kids that need a loving family.

@JordanLader Life has a way to get in the way but glad to hear things are looking up for you. Sorry to hear about your pop.
Yeah it is a big thing on how you raise them, wishing you all the best.

@Bensen32 We wanted natural. If it happened it happened. Then beyond that it was never great timing. We had bad financial issues, pop got sick, dad's health declined then it all came to a head last year. Timing is never great but the stress we had isn't there anymore.
I get about being worried about the world around you. There is definite worry about it but I think if you can build a bond strong enough and you listen as well as teach they won't turn out half bad.

Wow, I can really relate to this! My husband and I are also hoping to start a family. We’ve had a bit of a rough start, so we’re taking things slowly and learning to be patient, but like you, we’re trying to prepare and do things thoughtfully. It’s encouraging to see someone else approaching this new chapter with care and hope. Wishing you all the best as you take these steps.

Thank you! I wish you the best as well. I think it's exciting to be really starting on the journey and if one of the alternate methods work out, we have no surprises if we do research. Like anything else hidden fees can pop up or a law you missed, ya know.
Fingers crossed it works out for both of us :)

@JordanLader Exactly! It’s exciting but also a little nerve-wracking, right? Hoping the journey goes well for both of us.

That's awesome! We're going Saturday morning to see about our local foster system. We can't yet but we can see how we can help then when we can hopefully it'll be easier to go through the process.
