The NFL playoffs are in full swing and though I don’t really watch football and more I was thinking, what teams have not been to the Super Bowl. This is what I found out.
There are 32 teams currently in the NFL and of those there are 12 teams who have never won the Super Bowl, even worse there are 4 teams who never even played in the Super Bowl.
Cleveland Browns: The Browns been in the league even before the Super Bowl was a thing but have never made it there.
Detroit Lions: Like the Browns they have been in the league longer than the Super Bowl has been a thing. Their last championship was in 1957, 10 years before the Super Bowl started.
Jacksonville Jaguars: They came into the league in 1995 and have not made it there in 30+ years now.
Houston Texans: They joined the league in 2002, so it’s only been a little over 20 years. Maybe this could be their year.
Of these teams only the Texans are still in this year’s playoffs. Though I have to cheer on my favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks, I would like to see the Seahawks and the Texans in the Super Bowl.

I used to watch NFL quite a lot.
Circa Chicago Bears and the Refrigerator guy William Perry
Don't really watch it these days but do know some NFL guy is marrying Taylor Swift.
I had never heard of Jacksonville or Houston teams before

Not a sports fan, football or otherwise. My Dad liked the San Francisco 49ers.

A lot of the teams are franchises and move to other cities and change their names

Yeah, this has happened for a few teams, like the Cleveland Browns whose owner move the team to Baltimore and changed to the Ravens. A new team started up in Cleveland and took the Browns name.
The Houston Oilers move I forget where and a new team started in Houston, the Texans.
Just to name a few.
