Mother In Law Just Called Crying and Refusing to Move Into Memory Care

It took two hours to calm her down, but by the end of the phone call my hubby had "talked her off the ledge" and she has now once again agreed to move into Memory Care.
She's scared. She doesn't understand that there's anything wrong with her brain. She thinks the doctors are wrong. She got upset. She cried. She accused. Things got ugly.
But in the end we're still moving her in 10 days into Memory Care because it's the best and safest and most loving thing we can do to protect her.

That's a hard transition. My Mom had dementia and at times she was clearer. That's when she yelled at me, saying I was making fun of her cause she "had a head issue." I hate that one of my sisters is in lockup but its a comfy place and she is safe.

Can you blame her ? who wouldn't be upset & scared ?
