Today is my birthday, and instead of focusing only on celebrations, I’d like to take a moment to reflect and open a discussion. Birthdays often remind us of how much we’ve grown, the challenges we’ve faced, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts: as you get older, what has changed the most in the way you see life? Is it your priorities, your mindset, or the way you value time and relationships?
Feel free to share your experiences or insights—sometimes learning from each other’s journeys makes moments like this even more meaningful.

Happy birthday! I hope it is a good one.
As I’ve gotten older, it sets in more and more than nothing lasts forever, and you really have to appreciate what you have when you have it. I really see that with people and relationships especially.

I'm now 30. Yes, my priorities are changed now. But, perhaps you will laugh if I tell you, I usually forget my birthday. It is my sister who reminds me when the day comes. My birthday is 11th of April.

@indahwow Thanks, my friend. Just ten years back my priority was playing football, visiting abandoned places around my town and reading. books on jungle adventures. Now my priorities are looking after my family, learning our classical language Sanskrit and, along with that, higher maths
Yes, my sister reminds me my birthday. We love each other. It is she who helps me whenever I need. This year she is going to be married.

@Shivram59 Your bond with your sister is truly touching. Having someone who is always there, reminds you of important moments, and helps selflessly is a true blessing. May your sister begin a new chapter filled with happiness, and may you both always be surrounded by love and strength.

First of all, all the best! My birthday is in a month and a few days and i will celebrate it alone, for a change. What did i learn? to treat myself better, not to be always harsh to myself, that's okay not to know some things and that life is getting crazier.

All the best to you too. Celebrating your birthday alone can be a powerful way to reconnect with yourself. What you’ve learned is truly meaningful, being kinder to yourself, accepting that it’s okay not to know everything, and recognizing how unpredictable life can be. That kind of self-awareness is a gift in itself.
