The stressful side of caregiving.

Don't get me wrong. I lve my husband, George, very much. But, today is one of those days where his inability to communicate makes things challenging. It's not his fault. The stroke took a lot. He's found his joy in music, but he can't tell me what he wants to search. And I have to wait until payday to order what he's looking for. Understandably, he wants to search while it's fresh in his mind, but that's where the struggle lies. I can't find something out of nothing.

I can see how hard that must be You’re doing a wonderful job supporting him, and it’s clear how much you care. Little moments like these really show your love.

I love him. I don't think I would've been here as long if I didn't. we've been together over twenty years.

@kaylachan That’s beautiful. Twenty years is such a long time, and it really shows the strength of your love and commitment.

I feel for you. Mom stroke developed into dementia. The docs wouldn't let us know that and kept insisting she would get better.

George's mind remains sharp as a tack, and we're over two years post-stroke. However, his speach remains impaired and his physical limitations remain. He's trying to accept this as fact, but some of it can still recover.

That must be very, very difficult. I know I would be very frustrated if I couldn't communicate.
