IKEA for lunch …..meatballs anyone ?

Over the Christmas holidays we popped into IKEA and had their festive meal. I have a family card so I get free coffee every day.
Today we were out and felt peckish ….unknown to me The Mister had it in his mind to go there again. Okay with me.
So The Mister had meatballs, chips, peas and gravy and a coffee.
I had meatballs, mash, peas, gravy with lingonberry sauce and a coffee.
Came to just over £12.
Great value.
Do you use IKEA and do you eat there ?

Their meatballs are gorgeous. Here they have stopped serving them in the cafe …..you used to get a tub of 10….but they have them on meals in the restaurant. You can also buy them in their shop and cook them at home. Try them if you can.

That’s a shame …we don’t go very often but when we do it’s usually for the hotdogs.

@traceyjayne I’ve had those meatballs a few times. Ikea’s a bit out of the way for me now that I’ve moved. But at least my cooking mojo seems to be returning and I concocted a most splendiferous Melanzane alla Parmagiana tonight.

If we go to Ikea we always have a meal there. We like the food, maybe because we only have it about once a year.

We don’t go very often, but we usually just have the hotdogs from the cafe.
