Sinners is a stylish vampire film with embedded messages on the black American struggle over the decades and centuries, and the music in the film is powerful but a record 16 Oscar Nominations ? Is this The Academy using one film to hit diversity quotas across the board ? It's a good movie and refreshing if it, is indeed, the first horror film to do well in The Oscars since the equally stylish Pan's Labyrinth but its not a wow movie. It is, of course, better than last years big winner Anora. Would not surprise me if Donald Trump chose that one to win as its full of Russian hustlers. Trump must have had something to do with F1 making the final 10, Brad Pitt's cheesy grand prix movie.
