Authorities rescue a dog that was trapped in a sewer drain

A woman who was walking in a neighborhood on Wednesday January 21 when she heard cries of a dog which prompted her to contact Animal Law Enforcement to help and rescue the dog who was in a sewer drain.
Officials of the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) in Colorado Springs Colorado who sent Corporal Rollins called for assistance when he opened the manhole cover and saw Kita the dog asking to be rescued.
Officer Moore assisted Corporal Rollins to rescue Kita when Corporal Rollins used treats to get Kita out of the sewer drain.
Corporal Rollins used a leash and muzzle rap to get Mika out of the sewer drain. Mika was taken by the HSPPR to an animal shelter where her owner received the good news that her dog who was microchipped.
Mika's owner is grateful for the neighbor and officials withe the HSPPR who rescued het pet who is in good condition at the time of her rescue.

I share your thoughts that the witness showed a heart of gold to ask the animal control officers to rescue the dog.

I am in agreement with you that the neighbor heard the cries for help and that person notified the authorities.
