Oliver Has Learned to Use the Stairs

Our house is a one-story house, so there's no stairs. But when we had the other geriatric cats, they couldn't jump up on my bed because they were old and it was high. So we have a set of pet stairs, with 3 steps. Up until now Oliver has jumped up into my bed but recently he'll meow and want to be picked up and placed on the bed, so we figured maybe his old bones are getting worn out. He's 6 or 7 years old. So we had always had the stairs out on the left hand side of the bed but he wouldn't use them. Then last night I moved the stairs to the right hand side of the bed and he's been going up and down them all night long. Cats!

Cats won't do what they don't want to do. It's good he's using the stairs.

Soundsd like he has you pretty much trained. Animals may not speak to us like a HumanBeing, but they sure know how to communicate with us Humans.

6 isn't a geriatric cat. Nico usually jumps on the bed from the window sill or a white wicker vanity that I have in there.

Well done Oliver! Oliver has his own preference. The right hand side of the bed worked for him well.
