We have had a power cut !

I was woken up this morning by ping….ping….ping …message, message, message ….
It was early ….who was it …..?
It bugged me after a while , so I looked at my phone, …….neighbourhood watch …..
Oh crikey, what’s happened ?
Turns out, we had had a power cut and all the messages were alerting us all and asking what had made the power go off.
Probably the weather, but the providers were on the case so I didn’t worry too much.
Of course plenty of things in the house needed checking and clicks needed resetting.
First thing I did was check the freezer in the garage as, I remembered what happened before …..The Mister had left the door open and 90% of things had to be thrown away.
Looked like everything was okay though ….

@traceyjayne We had one last winter for 3 days during a storm. Decided to drive to Belfast and stay in a hotel since they were ok but the roads were blocked by fallen trees. At least the toilet doesn’t run on electric or gas.

It's a frequent occurrence in where I live because the power company frequently had to fix something. When there's a typhoon, it gets cut off too. When there was an earthquake, the same. Scheduled power interruption frequently happens on a weekend.

It was probably this last summer, and it was HOT! I ended up going to my dad’s house because he had air conditioning. The stupid power was off for ten hours before they finally got it back on. It wasn’t even bad weather; some idiot was cutting a tree and it hit something.
