When's The Last Time You Went to a Movie Theatre?

Does anybody go to movie theatres anymore?
What with streaming and all, it seems like people can get anything they want in their own living rooms.
But then there are those who prefer the sound-surround movie theatre experience.
My last time was 2008 and I thought my ears were going to bleed because the sound was SO LOUD! I vowed then and there to not go back.
So when's the last time you went to a movie theatre?

We haven't been to a movie theater in at least 20 years. I can't even remember the last movie we saw. I always fell asleep watching a movie in the theater so it just wasn't worth it to pay all that money and me sleep through half the movie.
When I watch movies at home, if I fall asleep, I can always start the movie over at the last part I remember so I can watch the full movie. (Pretty always made fun of me for falling asleep but I was usually exhausted from working when she wanted to go out to a movie. *shrug*)

Maybe 40 years ago? I like to watch movies at home.

A few weeks ago, we went to watch Avatar Fire and Ice on iMax#D. It was amazing as watching it on IMAX3D makes everything intense, brighter and sharper than just a 3d. We felt like we were inside the movie itself.

The last time I went was last summer, when I went with a friend and we accidentally saw the wrong film! I posted about it here in June (am I allowed to link my own posts?)
Watching a film in the cinema is definitely a different experience to watching at home and still worth it, in my opinion.

Honestly, it’s been that long for me too! Maybe even longer than you
The cinema I used to go to doesn’t even exist anymore! I think the last movie I watched in a theater was The Bourne Identity, which says a lot about how long it’s been. After that, I just never really went back.
I genuinely enjoy the comfort of being at home. We have a home surround sound system, so the audio experience is already great, and nothing beats watching a movie in your own space. The level of comfort at home is just different, at least for me.
That said, if there’s a movie I really love and I want to fully immerse myself in the big screen experience—the kind with modern cinema technology like IMAX or Dolby Atmos—then who knows, I might watch in a theater again someday. But wow, movie tickets are expensive now.
There’s one thing I really want to try though: those luxury cinemas where you can lie down and order food from an actual menu. That experience sounds amazing… but also very pricey
These days, I barely even watch movies. A whole month can pass without me watching anything at all.
