Well, despite it being close to 40 degrees today, it is still treacherous out there. I did manage to escape though and got some groceries, and went out to a restaurant for a change of scenery. However, the roads in this development are still bad..and some of the parking lots are too. I could not believe the snow in the Food Lion plaza parking lot. It is like the huge snow mountains they have up North have never seen them down here before, Anyway, I went to the Verizon store too and the guy was able to pull the piece out just using his hands. I guess I am a weakling..
. Anyway, he found it charged in there. I bought a cable at FL where it was cheaper than the Verizon store, but left it in the car. I bought two bags of cat litter and part of one is in the house, the other half dumped in the driveway walkway.CL the only thing I managed to get in the house. Oh well, it's cold that food stuff will keep, and I am sure I have another cord around here I can use if need be. I would prefer something newer though.
When I got here it was another rendtion for slip and slide with me hanging onto the car for dear life at points. I dropped my broom and it slid away. I used the cat litter though to give myself traction coming in the house which was a bit better. Anyway, tomorrow will be in the mis 40's. I may not attempt driving again, but I do need to get the groceries in. I also need to get some trash out...but probably will wait until Weds. Let everything melt as much as possible...besides possible wintery mix tomorrow..just what we need! How's the snow treating you? Anyway could be worse friend called me and told me about a friend of his somebody we both know. She is in an urban area, but her property is kind of like a rural oasis. She has a ton of snow and can't move her van. He delivered cat litter to her but she needs to get plowed out.

We have a nice chunk of ice under the s**w; I have to go out on Thursday and will have to be VERY careful. It's not going to be above freezing until March probably. This winter sucks.

I do not think we have any more coming for about a week, and then look out.We have had enough sun that things are brown with only a touch of white. The plowed snow from parking lots is melting as well. That does not mean that winter is over yet. We just get a breather. Glad you are using the kitty litter for traction.

I wouldn't be risking driving in those conditions
Oh wait, I went driving today
And it was bad, really bad.
No snow, just deep puddles going across the road

I feel relatively safe in a vehicle as long as I don't slip all over there road..but as long as you go slowly it isn't that much of a problem.

Our snow is gone everywhere but the large swaths under the overhang of the apartments. It’s 68 degrees right now, but we should have a large drop in temperature overnight. Some parts of Oklahoma will get snow, but not much.
I hope you can your groceries out later on, and safely.

At least you made it out. Which is good. Cat litter can be replaced. You have enough to get by a day or so. Depending on how often you change litter.

Glad you made it safely. Kitty litter helps a lot.
No melting here except maybe enough to make the top crusty. It's still light and easy to shovel

Glad you didn't fall! Take care.
Dale goes out to feed Gracie in the garage and got the snow off the back porch.

Yesterday some of the snow had melted. But I think it was icy on the roads. I was supposed to get a mammogram done yesterday, but I decided to reschedule it. I didn't go out yesterday. My mother did later yesterday and she said the roads were slushy in a few parts.
