Have You Ever Snow Skied?

United States

Considering how many of us in the USA have snow right now, this seemed like a timely question. Have you ever snow skied? I have not. I don't plan on it. I would be terrible at it. I would probably break my neck. There is a place about 45 minutes away called Paoli Peaks that generates fake snow, although right now there's enough of the real stuff, where people can snow ski, but I've never been there. How about you? Are you a snow skier?

I haven't but I would love to if it's possible. I must visit a ski resort in another country for that though.

I can’t stand up on dry level ground. I know better than to try skiing.

I have yes..It's been awhile though. I would still go to the right venue though. Snowshoe in West Virginia has deep powder like snow like they have in the West. You can just step off the lifts. It is much better than a lot of the Eastern resorts which tend to be icy.

I used to own a trailer house in Colorado near a ski resort. I kept saying I wanted to try skiing one day but never got around to doing it. We used it as a summer vacation place. Pretty and I took vacations up there every summer for ten or twelve years before I sold the place. I was only in Colorado twice when there was snow on the ground. I outgrew my love of snow and outdoor winter sports after I had to shovel the long driveway in the morning several times before I could leave for a grueling day at work. I wanted to stay inside where it was warm after that.

No ma'am. Ever since I grew out of childhood, I avoid winter sports with a passion. I don't like to be cold.

I have. And I obviously won't do it again now at the age I am. I tried it out in the Cairngorms, 50 miles from home. They guy I knocked over on the snow, needed an ambulance to get home He was standing on the middle of the run trying to put his ski back on, whack, Lucky I wasn't going fast but unlucky I was not skilled enough to swerve

I have never tried downhill skiiing. I have been cross-country skiiing though, which I loved. It's great exercise and of course you can go down hills when you come to them but it's not the alpine sort of thing. I can manage to do down hills without falling over, and I can manage to go around bends, but I can't manage both!
