Doctor Home Visits

United States
February 5, 2026 2:32pm CST
I remember when I was really small, and I had the mumps, a doctor came to our house to see me. I think it's a great idea today. When I'm really sick like I am right now, I don't want to get up and go anywhere. Let the doctor's come to us or at least a nurse practitioner.

Nurse practices occasionally pay me a visit and advise me to do exercises to strengthen my lower legs which have caused to deal with cellulitis.

I wish someone could come and encourage me to exercise, but I probably still wouldn't do it.

I totally agree... Something about going to a doctor or to the ER just raises my BP and I hate feeling sick. It would be much better if someone could come to me instead.

I hate feeling sick also. I've been coughing and having a sore throat and it's not fun. If I were a queen, I would say henceforth, send for me a doctor at once.

AThat's what teleamedicine is for. You can do most of it via video chat now a days. It really exploded in 2020.

My parents had a doctor who was a close friend and he always came to our apartment when I got ill.

I think I'd be happier with a nurse, doctors seem so rushed

My doctor is great and always listens, but I'm in the US.
