This dance is also called Jarabe Tapatio and is the national dance of Mexico. It originated as a courtship dance in Guadalajara, Mexico, during the 19th century. Female dancers traditionally wear a china poblana outfit, and the male dancers dress as charros. Their steps are characterized by flirtatiously stepping around the brim of their partner's hat. The music for this dance is mostly performed by mariachi groups or string ensembles.
So grab a partner and a hat and let’s dance.

There should be more dancing and less fighting and the world would be a better place.
