Firefighters in Norwich Connecticut answered an emergency call on Tuesday February 3 when a swan was seen in the Norwalk River which was frozen due to the cold weather.
The firefighters used cold-water rescue suits to get into the river and rescue the swan who was then taken by the firefighters to the Veterinary Centers Of America Veterinary Referral and Emergency Centr.
The good news is that the swan is likely to make a full recovery and be released as soon the swan makes a full recovery.

Poor thing. So glad it is supposed to make a full recovery. Swans are such beautiful birds.

Poor swan I can sympathize; I feel mostly frozen myself. Glad they rescued him,
