I received new Laptop this 2026

It started with mom's weird question this afternoon about laptop being a computer or not. I didn't bother with it until I received a message from my brother inquiring about what specs I want to a laptop. I just answered him that I want the one that can bring back old pc games.
It became very clear that they really planned to buy me a laptop. I wasn't really excited because It wasn't the brand I wanted but who am I to complain. I really need a new one and retire the old Dell.
After doing my brother doing tech stuff about Microsoft applications. I'm already using it. Maybe this time I won't install games in this laptop so it will last longer.

You could still play games on it but don't play for hours and hours. Making a laptop overheat is what can cause damage to components and reduce the lifespan of the laptop.

DaddyEvil Unfortunately, even after ten years I still don't know how to install games. Maybe not on this laptop since it's not like my old DELL.

@DaddyEvil I am not really comfortable with ASUS since my mom had similar brand and went slow after a few years due to lesser use.

My old laptop is Dell and used Windows 8.1 @Ineeddentures I wonder what made you call it old when it's windows 10 already. Not sure though if this Asus will survive ten years like my old DELL but so far it's new. Envy is such a heavy word. Be happy you still have a working laptop.
