So, for pudding yesturday my Mom made a rice pudding.
Oh my days, I do love a rice pudding.
She very cleverly made enough for me to bring some home for today.
Actually, I admit, I almost forgot about it.
I’m so pleased that I remembered it though.
It was really delicious and really warmed me up.
It is true comfort food in my opinion.
Do you like rice pudding……?.

@traceyjayne If I put rice pudding in my mouth it would shoot right back out again. Same with porridge, tapioca, semolina etc. it’s a texture thing and a memory of primary school dinners. I can still smell the tapioca in the assembly hall where dinner was served. I could just about manage the jam sponge with pink custard if it hadn’t been sitting for too long and developed a skin. Oh the terrible awfulness of it all. Don’t know why they didn’t serve a nice crème brûlée or a panna cotta. I was so glad that I left primary school after P2.

@Traceyjayne No, but I don’t know why. They are a delight and would coax any 6 year old to never miss a school day for any reason. Watery carrots and lumpy mash were always on the menu. At the end of P2 I was whisked away to the middle of Africa to what was little more than a jungle clearing and was home schooled and that was the end of watery carrots and tapioca.

It’s lucky that we all like rice pudding……The Mister isn’t really a pudding person , so very often he will have something different to us.

I love rice pudding but Vince doesn't so I never get to have it. I could make it just for myself but it doesn't seem worth it.
