Decided to ignore her regardless

I have often complained to mom about certain aunt who likes to whine and complain regardless of what I do. She told me to ignore her, but I didn't listen and mind every time aunt complains. I often lash out when no one was around and she just side comment.
But one day they came home from church and told them about the water shutoff maintenance. I've already explained it to first aunt. But she (other aunt) still tries to complain and tried to side comment again. I totally went out and shouted. After that I didn't talk to her again regardless. That day I almost had a stroke out of anger. She thinks I was going to be push over like that.
It was sad at first. But it has given some sense of peace not to hear her complaining anymore. This time I've listened to my mom and just ignore her.

I have said on various posts in the last couple of days to a few people that they should always listen to their moms

I realized it was mom's fault for letting them move in @Ineeddentures knowing she has issues. But that wasn't just one day I held out since they came here 3 yrs ago. Now it felt like a decade of them staying. It's like living with strangers.

@Ineeddentures yeah that was really long time. Though mom's friends or acquaintances realize it they just told her but never confront aunt about it. That's why stopped visiting us.

Sometimes, acting like someone isn't there is the best you can do to keep yourself sane.

Hello @DaddyEvil she really left me with no choice. I mean we are lucky to even live here in peace and still she can complain.

@Letranknight2015 I understand. Some people have to say something even if it's not something nice or good.
