The Deer Have Been Raiding the Bird Feeder

Our Ring camera caught video of two deer raiding the bird feeder in the front of our house. We don't mind. We will feed any animal that is hungry. We have a bird feeder on the back patio for the squirrels, birds, and chipmunks. The racoons, squirrels, birds, and deer apparently hit the front one.

A long time ago I learned not to bother with bird feeders because the squirrels and groundhogs would tear them up. I have heavy-duty plastic shelves, and I put the food on them. Everyone seems to get along…and when one squirrel runs another one off it just goes to the next shelf. We don’t have any deer in our part of town, but I did see raccoon tracks in the snow.
