Using AI is more difficult than you might expect

I posted a couple of weeks ago about my first attempt at using AI to generate an image for a birthday card. That was surprisingly successful so I thought I would have another go.
This time though is proving much more difficult. I have asked it to draw me a couple of stick figures doing various activities, one of which was putting up a tent.
In my mind I know exactly the sort of thing I want, and I’m sure if I asked another human to draw that for me they would come up with something like I expected. I’m imagining a black and white line drawing of two stick people holding guy ropes and poles, with a half-erected tent between them.
But asking AI to do it is a completely different problem. Obviously it doesn’t have the same background knowledge as another person. It doesn’t really ‘know’ what I mean by stick figures or what might be involved in putting up a tent, so it gave me a picture of a tent with some weird sort of little cartoon people climbing all over it, then added lots of extra unnecessary things it ‘thinks’ are camping related.
It’s going to take some practice to get the simple picture I want. I might have to just try drawing it myself!

AI is killing my writing career, so many clients have opted for AI over human writers. Oh well, I guess that leaves me with more time for other hobbies.

@Fleura I have pretty much stayed away from it, I can't see where it would benefit me at this point in my life but your are right to become familiar with it, it is the way of the future. All I do is invest in companies that promote it lol

I don't know how to use AI. It may be useful in doing many complicated things, but it itself is created.by human mind. I'm satisfied with my own mind that has been created by the God.

Interesting picture.
Yes, AI and pictures is not easy. I'm using it for my book covers. So far, I have only one cover that has my spine correct. I know I can get it corrected when I go to publish it. At least I hope so. I won't be using AI for that process.

Our son has been using it for some complicated IT stuff and he has given it lots of 'rules' to try and rule out some of the mistakes it makes each time. Maybe draw something very simple, load it to AI and ask to enhance it or maybe give it very specific instructions. Good luck.

You need to tell it outline only. That might help

I've only tried to have AI manufacture about 3 pictures for me. I was not very successful.
