I was wondering how something have always existed. Language is only a few thousand years old. That sounds like a lot but when you consider how dinosaurs were around millions of years. How crazy is that? There were far different creatures. So with all the numbers that have been there. If you think about it all this happened recently.

Numbers are a human invention and did not always exist. The earliest evidence of counting is around 40,000 years old, but number systems developed much later.

Numbers and language are always so interesting to me, how they evolve and keep evolving.

I've always heard that math is a universal language and it's how we would probably talk with aliens.

I agree with that. Just because I have no idea how else we would communicate with them

I have always had that thought about numbers being around for a long time in our world.
