Fish Truck Lunch

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
A fellow mylotter asked to see my lunch from a local fish truck that came through town. I'd tag them, but not sure we can?
Either way - here is the lunch. This truck specializes in fish and chips. It's called On The Hook.
The fish is 100% wild caught cod. The fish and fries are both beer battered.
They offer a few extras, like coleslaw, occasionally cod cakes, and some kind of soup - depending on time of year and if they have them. They do have a rootbeer and strawberry soda too. Never tried these extras.
They used to just be in my state and a few surrounding states but now they have branched out to many others.
What do you think of the food truck. Do you like fish?

Good to know, I couldn't recall if that was an option lol.
It was really good, it's expensive but always good

That looks so good. I have not had fish in a long time. Seafood is a bit too expensive and I cannot always get fresh but frozen,

@DianneN Oh really? A lot find the healthy stuff tasty. But a lot of the time I can't get past the smell or texture.

It always is delicious... I can understand. I need to watch mine (watch it do what, I don't know) but all the tasty food is bad for us, and all the good for us food does not taste good (to me).

Fish is not my favorite. I would eat fish sticks or a battered fish. And it has to be really mild. I like it with tartar sauce.

I don't love all fish, mostly just salmon and cod, I guess trout from when my grandpa caught them when he was a live.
But these are battered very nicely.
Yuck to tartar sauce lol

@MommyOfEli2013 lol The tartar sauce helps hide the flavor!

@LindaOHio tartar sauce itself is disgusting lol. I don't need to hide the flavor though

That looks good and very tasty. We don’t have fish trucks coming around. It’s a shame as I think they would be popular ….

That looks really good to be honest.
I would have no issues with eating all that
Not that different from ours.
Well done Courtney, a good food post.
There are fish and chips vans here, well not on our town but they do go into the more rural areas and every time we have had food from them it's been really good

I tried to get a good photo, so not sure this does them justice.
But that is good to hear that it is not that different from yours.
These just always seemed interesting because they are long fish pieces lol;
and that is good you do have some there, even if they are not in your town - this one doesn't come to my town either lol just one nearby.
