I’m missing a funeral I should probably be at.

My childhood best friend’s dad died last week, and today is his funeral. My dad is the one doing his funeral (he also did her grandma’s recent funeral). I am still trying to get that magnesium to start working (from Friday’s ER visit and subsequent times since), and it’s slow going. Not to mention, the funeral is 45 minutes away.
My sister pointed out she didn’t go to my mom’s funeral so I shouldn’t feel bad, but I think that’s besides the point. Plus, there was a tornado warning the night of my mother’s funeral!
Have you guys ever needed to be somewhere, but something really did legitimately come up?

Yes of course, everyone has. She'll know you care but you have to take care of yourself first.

Yes, more than likely..Of course how it is here I don't do anything of note for weeks, and then 3 things come up at the same time.

It's better not to go than to have problems while you are gone, or start feeling really terrible when you get there. I am sure your best friend will understand. I hope you start feeling better very soon, Amber.
