Even if you're not in the USA you've probably heard of the Reverend Jesse Jackson.
He was a Civil Rights leader. He was strong-willed and very vocal.
He was a Baptist minister who followed in the footsteps of Martin Luther King Jr. during the civil rights movement.
He also ran twice, and failed, as a Democratic candidate for President.
He was quite prolific in the 1980's, showing up any time a Black person had been killed by law enforcement, etc.
May he Rest in Peace.

I think he would have chosen to die during this month. Nearly 58 years of living with the nightmare of seeing Rev. King gunned down standing next to him.

I thought of that when I heard he had passed. He was right there and lived that nightmare.
