Someone lost a Home

I was taking a break from General cleaning when I heard multiple sirens. That I knew that a huge fire somewhere nearby. Except that it was too late everything was burned. It was sad because it happened to be Mom's acquaintance. The source of the fire was from an unchecked fan that got burned. I guess it lacked oil change and it started to heat up. I know I've experienced this with other fans before I get one repaired. Funny thing is that we blame each here for leaving the fans opened but we all have that experienced. And not to mention we caught each other everytime Not a funny situation to them though. We have given a fair share of donations; I gave some of my clothes. Before the incident we have threw away most of the fans that were broken. Have a nice day

Accident may happen anytime. Thus always be careful is a must. That means to be alert and not to be careless

I wonder what happened to that family who had a member who left the fan on @Nakitakona It's a lesson for all of us here.

@Letranknight2015 Carelessness is the possible cause or it depends on the findings of the fire investigator.

I hope they can get enough help to rebuild. It's always sad when something like that happens. Good luck to them.

Always a good idea to regularly check appliances to make sure they're working properly. I once had a ceiling fan shoot out flames, and it wasn't even turned on... I think some rodent chewed at the wiring and got barbecued, or something.

Not to mention we often had rats moving through the ceiling @BarBaraPrz. Until today, I didn't give this much of a though. I think this also have my concerns, but so far no big rat has chewed on the wires yet.

It is indeed @RebeccasFarm it looses moral if a family looses home and not to mention all of their stuff is gone.

These appliances do need to be checked regularly.

And yes we do @Traceyjayne but at the same time we also forget to turn it off. The fire really open my eyes and remind myself to turn off unused fans.

The important thing is that they were all safe @AmbiePam but losing a home was just sad.

The family that we know weren't home at the time @toniganzon so they were still lucky to be alive.
