Are there any products you have seen advertised that you wonder about?

The post by @LooeyVille about tomato pills made me think of this. There are some products that I wonder about, in spite of all the regulations surrounding advertising etc. I remember in the US I was constantly hearing adverts for a special weight-loss treatment. All you had to do was take a spoonful of this stuff in the evening and then be sure to not eat or drink anything except water after 9pm, and the weight would magically drop off. Off course lots of people sit in front of the TV in the evening drinking beer and wine and snacking on crisps and chocolates... Do you think if they only drank water after 9pm the weight might drop off anyway, even without the magic potion?? I never saw or heard anything stating that the weight-loss effects all the happy customers gushed about were still evident when compared to a placebo. I don't think diet plans or diet pills work. I think just trying to eat healthy with smaller portions and trying to exercise is enough.

I agree. A much healthier approach. Limiting portions works gradually over time and does not result in binge eating.

I tried taking the diet pills many years ago and quit buying them since they did not work at all.

That sounds hilarious. I can’t think of an example, but I’m sure there have been several that caught my eye at one time.

If l was trying to lose Weight that would have been easy peasy for me - l don't eat or drink anything after 6pm.
