Have you ever heard of a Jack and Jill shower?

So, my nephew is getting married in September, and in late April they will be having a Jack and Jill shower..which I guess is like a wedding shower. I've been to bridal showers, but never one where the guy was included. This was seems kind of far in advance of the wedding. However, sis and fam are planning to be there. I will go to the wedding.

I think it's a bridal shower where both the guy and the bride are present. We had no bridal or wedding showers when I got married.

@snowy22315 It's a long time we do not have weddings in the family. My niece lives with her partner, they have 2 children, but she has no intention to get married.

@snowy22315 Isn’t that an actual shower where there’s room for two people to shower together?

I have never heard of that before. Hopefully it will be a good time for all who attend!

I’ve heard of it (of the groom actually being there), but I don’t know anyone who actually had one. April is early, isn’t it. I’m sure they’ll have fun though.

Sounds interesting and unique! Could this name have a historical significance? I hope you can share your experiences then?

I've never heard of this shower. My niece's wedding will take place in July.
