It's no fun when the magic of a relationship is over and your partner wants to end things. As the singer Bryan Adams would say "It Cuts Like a Knife." Maybe you've heard this popular line, “I think we’re better off as friends.” Perhaps you even know someone who experienced that breakup line, definitely devastating for the one on the receiving end. Couples are not always tactful when it comes to breakups. There really is no great way to do it, but being sincere beats being a jerk. Yet, couples will still come up with dishonest breakup lines to get out of a partnership. So, can you describe a breakup line you would rate a bad one... In case you can't think of a description of the worst breakup line ever what's your opinion of this classic line... ***"It not you it's me. You can do much better." Is this breakup line honest or a cop out? What is the real meaning here? Photo- You Tube

I just think of the famous line, “It’s not you, it’s me.”

Yep, that's a popular one! Other popular breakup lines: "I just feel like we’re not on the same page." “We’re too alike.”

It is not a bad break up line that shocked me, it was a real scenario. The couple was engaged, wedding date set, they had already started receiving gifts, and the guy breaks up with the girl through a text message! Can you believe that? I shook my head when I learned about it.

Wow, that takes getting "cold feet" to another level!!! I bet that did not go over to well with the girl and her family. Maybe he should have used one of these lines way before things got to this point: "I think we’re moving too fast.” “I’m not ready for commitment.”

Yes, a very good addition! Other popular breakup lines: "I just feel like we’re not on the same page." “I think we should see other people.” “I’m not ready for commitment.”

I have heard of “ There’s no more excitement in our lives. I feel bored.” That woman said it to her husband of almost 10 years.

@thelme55 Only the person who delivers these lines know how sincere they really are.

I've never had anyone break up with me. I have broken up with a couple of guys. One asked me to marry him on the second date. No thank you! I don't remember what I said to him!

@dgobucks226 He was upset because he had bought tickets for another concert. I think the first one we went to was the Beach Boys. I remember every concert I ever went to except that one. Must be blocking it out of my mind.
