Donald Trump's phantom hospital ship.

It seems that the orange gibbon who's currently infesting the White House has done another of his infamous late night tweets, claiming to have dispatched a hospital ship to Greenland "to take care of the many people who are sick, and not being taken care of there." Three problems with this: 1) There's no word of any kind of health crisis going on in Greenland. If there was, there are several hospitals in the country that should be able to cope with any problems. If anyone had a health issue that couldn't be taken care of in Greenland, they they could always to transported to Denmark. Greenland and Denmark are first world countries, and therefore have functioning healthcare systems. 2) If for some reason someone had a problem that the health authorities in Greenland and Denmark couldn't cope with, they have man allies who could be called on to help. Canada would be the obvious first choice, followed by Britain and the Nordic countries. America would a long way down the list of countries that the Greenlanders would contact, obviously. 3) For some reason, the US Navy apparenly only has two hospital ships, which I find strange when you consider the size of their military establishment. And it happens that both these ships are in drydock at the moment. So there's no hospital ship on the way, and if there was, it wouldn't be wanted or needed. So why is that loser Trump putting out such blatantly false disinformation? My guess is that it's to give his MAGA base the idea that Greenland has problems that justify American intervention - whether that's economic warfare, or an actual invasion attempt. The knuckle-draggers that Trump's got for followers will believe absolutely anything that he feeds them.

@TheHorse the problem is that Trump imagines, invents, and believes if he says it, it is true. I wonder how many people today still believe his fabrications.

No one in Greenland wants his hospital ship. They can to to Denmark for emergencies but Greenland is a civilized country. That man is so horrible!

I'm distressed by Donald Trump. But I am more distressed by the approximately 35 per cent of Americans who would vote for him if a "re-call" election were held tomorrow.

@TheHorse I had said flung it out of my mouth having encountered some tourists. But it is true. Look at Brasil... Bolsonaro is in prison. So many other leaders are removed from office, some charged with crimes, some just impeached. What does Trump have to do to be impeached?

that almost terrifies me, because it confirms something I babbled once... just out of annoyance... that Americans are among the stupidest people in the world.
