This was inspired by Judy Ev's discussion on buildings. I can think of a lot that are cool or different. One I like since I have seen it in person several times is the PPG Pittsburgh plate glass building which is very distinctive due to its spires. It is a lot of fun to drive amongst the skyscrapers in downtown Pittsburgh. Which building or buildings do you find majestic?

I do not like modern buildings. Those who inspire me are the majestic buildings of early 1900. Like this one in the photo.

I love the older architecture in Europe. When I first went to London I was simply wowed by the architecture. We simply don't have anything that compares over here.

@misunderstood_zombie Thank you, and it is a cool looking building. Anybody who knows anything about Pittsburgh knows about the PPG building.

@snowy22315 I'll see if I can find a picture I took of one near my (childhood) house in Chicago.

This building called the Biltmore Estate is my dream place to visit in NC! Always loved it in photos.

Oh yeah, the Biltmore is cool. I was there once or twice. There are lots of people from Atlanta that visit. I remember the license plates.

If I have time, I may go to that when I am in Chicago in Sept. I went to the Sears Tower for sure. I am not sure about the other one. I will ask my ex at some point. His memory might be a bit better than mine.

@DianneN Oh, I must be thinking of the Hancock Tower. That is the other one. Other than driving around it going out West, or at the train station I haven't been in Chicago since 1985.

Oh, OK Thanks, didn't know anything about it. If I picked something from NO, I would pick some of the French architecture.

There are too many buildings that I love to just pick one, but the Marina Bay Sands is one that comes to mind.

That is an impressive and well known building. Another good one is the National Cathedral in Washington. I have been there as well..as St. Patrick's in NYC.
