Falcons QB Kirk Cousins to be Released

The Atlanta Falcons informed their veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins that they will be releasing him as of March 11th, the first day of the league year.
Even if they lowered his salary they still would let him go.
In my opinion which means nothing at all, this equates to them thinking that he's not good enough and can get a new QB in the draft. Again, my opinion, not based on anything they've released.
They do have Michael Penix Jr that played pretty good last year. Maybe there's hope for Atlanta...Not sure about Cousin's though.
Good guy but I'm not sure if he has it anymore. I will say he did do well for Minnesota when he was there.

I’m thrilled for Kirk Cousins that he was released. I think, if Minnesota faced how iffy JJ McCarthy is, and got Cousins back they could definitely get to the playoffs, unlike last year. It’s a pity he ever left, but hey, when you’re not a top ten QB, you go where the money is.

I thought he already was. I saw him as a commentator on a football broadcast. Active players don't usually do that.

They've been doing like guest spots kind of. If the team isn't playing sometimes they go on a show to commentate or just talk. They've had a few current players on

@JordanLader Yes, but this was a full broadcast. He was the analyst for some game.
