More Poetry: Hidden in the Dark

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I thought I would share another poem. I haven't shared any in a couple of days. Actually more like a week. Just hadn't felt like sharing anything. So here is another old poem - another one that is more dark. I hope to write new ones eventually, just still have writer's block I guess. So here it is: Hidden in the Dark: You don’t know what is hidden in the dark, one tiny ember waiting to spark Uncontrollable fire You don’t see what’s under this façade, just a jet black heart, stone cold hard Feeling no desire It may look nice and pretty from afar, but here there are no moon and stars Just a hopeless sky She paints on a smile and pretends, Puts on a charade and acts like she on the mend, but it is just another lie When she is in the dark, She uncovers her secrets never told In reality there is no spark, nor any gold… I would love to know what you all think, as always.
