A song by Sophie B. Hawkins that became a hit in 1995. A favorite of mine back then.
I used to lay in bed and listen to this song with tears slowly rolling down my cheeks. And this morning when I woke up and opened my phone, this was the first post I saw on IG.
Sophie wrote this song in memory of her father.
Here's the first part of the lyrics: "It felt like springtime on this February morning
In a courtyard, birds were singing your praise.I'm still recalling things you said
to make me feel all right.I carry them with me today"

Omg she is almost as old as me
I do remember her
One song was good
Right beside you
And I would quite like to be Right beside you...

A very sad and heart touching song. I hadn't heard it ever before. I like the lines you have quoted here.

Sure does especially those who have lost their loved ones. I miss my dad constantly.

Yes and I could relate a lot to it since I lost my parents at a very young age.
