Why I do not travel to other countries

For the most part, I do not like to travel to other countries, for a few reasons. 1. It is difficult to find vacation time away from the job. I don't have a 9-5 job and so I work when I have online and in person students. 2. It is expensive. The plane flights, travel insurance, medical insurance. 3. The flight times get changed on you. I do not like to fly early in the morning, 5am, or late at night. I would rather pay more and get on a flight that leaves at a normal time and lands at a normal time, say take off 10:00am, I would have to be at the airport at 7:00am, a bit early by doable. For a flight that takes off at 7:00am, I would have to be at the airport three hours early, No way Jose! 4. The airlines often cancel a flight and the only flight available is one that only has 1st class seats available. Yes it was nice, but it was very expensive, I can't afford to pay for that again!! What are your reasons for not flying to other countries?

Now that I'm older I find travelling to other countries more stressful. You've listed all the other reasons I don't like to travel. You have to be at the airports so early then you might wait around for ages. I just don't want to do it any more.

For me, it’s money and bad health. I’ve been to Mexico several times, but I live in Oklahoma…I’m close to it. However, I only visited Australia and New Zealand because I won a trip to the 2000 Sydney Olympics. No way could I ever afford that! But a close second is that at this point in life I’m too sick. I get to go on a cruise to Canada in October. My family wanted me to be able to go, so part of the reason they chose Canada was because it wasn’t far, and the weather that time of year wasn’t too hot for me.
